Equate Scotland is working with Skills Development Scotland and Scotland IS to create a good practice guide on women in Digital Technology for employers across the sector. The guide will be accompanied by a series of webinars to support employers in implementing ambitious and tailored initiatives that will help them recruit and retain more women in the industry.

Currently, only 16% of students pursuing computing degrees at university are women and only 18% of employees in digital technology are women. To ensure not only equality, but the continued economic growth of the sector, we need more women to work in ICT.

We know many employers have invested in a number of great initiatives such as female only placements, training on equality and diversity for all staff and setting up women’s networks. We want to hear from all employers who have invested in this area to increase the number of women in the digital pipeline.

We would like to include case studies of good practice in our guide to celebrate the dedicated work already taking place and inspire others.

If you have practice you would like to share, fill in our Case Study Form and email it to
