Building Your Confidence: Introducing The Confidence Dynamic™ Framework

What does confidence really mean for women working in STEM?
For many, confidence is framed as something to fix, build, or strengthen—particularly when navigating promotion, leadership, or challenging conversations. But during our recent webinar, “Building your Confidence: Introducing The Confidence Dynamic™ framework,” participants were invited to pause and look at confidence through a different lens.
Led by Ishwariya Rajamohan FRSA, the interactive session created a reflective and supportive space to explore confidence, personal power, and the lived experiences of women working in majority male environments.
A Different Kind of Conversation About Confidence
Rather than focusing on techniques or quick fixes, the session centred on reframing confidence and making sense of why confidence can feel fragile at different stages of a career.
Participants were encouraged to reflect, share, and listen—recognising that confidence challenges are not a personal failing, but often a response to wider contexts, experiences, and environments.
One participant reflected:
“Just a reminder that my feelings are not unusual and there is a reason for them.”
The Power of Being Heard
A key strength of the session was the opportunity for women to hear their own experiences echoed by others. For many, simply knowing they were not alone was impactful.
As another participant shared:
“It has been great to hear my experiences and feelings voiced, to know that I am not alone with these.”
Looking Ahead
The insights shared during the webinar underline the importance of creating spaces where women in STEM can reflect on confidence openly, without judgement, and with support.
We look forward to continuing these conversations and building more opportunities for women to explore confidence, leadership, and career progression in inclusive and supportive environments.
