This workshop will review what positive action means for employers and how it can be a route to attract a diverse range of candidates. Many employers are reluctant to take positive action measures, however they have been proven to be hugely successful and come with legal backing. The workshop will include a presentation from an employment law expert from Morton Fraser and will build knowledge and confidence enabling employers to be bolder in their equality and diversity efforts.
This workshop will include:
- What positive action is and how to lawfully implement positive action measures.
- How to write inclusive job adverts by eliminating gendered language and unconscious bias.
- Networking with other employers and training providers to share best practice.
- Develop or strengthen your relationship with Equate Scotland’s experts and book bespoke follow up support and/or training.
- Refreshments and lunch.
This event is hosted and delivered in partnership with Morton Fraser and is designed for employers and training providers in STEM. It is open to people of all genders and designed to cater to a wide range of professionals. Strategists, directors, HR professionals, recruitment consultants, equality, diversity and inclusion officers, line managers and board members may find the event particularly relevant.
