Skills to reduce inequalities

October 28 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

This workshop is the first in a three workshop series and will help you learn more about the steps that you can take to mitigate inequality.

Through the lens of the underrepresentation of women in STEM, we will explore how biases impact our interactions and decision-making processes. We will review strategies for recognising and counteracting inequality in the workplace as well as how to be an active bystander.

This workshop will include:

  • Defining and identifying unconscious bias
  • Identifying steps to mitigate unconscious bias in decision making
  • Where and how bias influences the workplace
  • How to be an active bystander

It is open to people of all genders and designed to cater to a wide range of professionals. Strategists, directors, HR professionals, recruitment consultants, equality, diversity and inclusion officers, line managers, and board members may find the event particularly relevant.

Register here.

We encourage participants to register for all three workshops included in the series.

Part 2 of the series is Inclusive Recruitment on Nov 3rd. Register here.

Part 3 of the series is Positive Action on Nov 11th. Register here.
