The majority of public speaking nowadays happens not out in public but right from your computer, but giving an online presentation is very different from presenting in person. Not having a physical audience in front of you and the lack of non-verbal cues can make it difficult to connect with and engage your audience.
In this interactive two part training, participants will have the opportunity to learn key tips for public speaking online and how to utilise every aspect of the available platforms to make their presentations as interactive as possible. Participants will have a chance to practice their skills and leave with confidence in communicating the STEM agenda, championing their work and equality and diversity agenda to a range of audiences.
This event is ideal for women who are:
• Working in STEM and looking to be an ambassador or role model for their companies
• Students or employees in STEM looking to reach a wider public platform and communicate why STEM is worth pursuing
• Students or employees interested in sharing their STEM work
• Students or employees looking to get media or public speaking experience
Please make sure you are available to attend both dates:
- March 2nd 10-11:30am
- March 16th 10-11:30am
