After a very successful Media and Public Speaking session last year, Equate Scotland will now be delivering a full day workshop for Women in STEM.
This is an opportunity to learn key tips on being a STEM role model and ambassador. We will go through blog writing skills, dealing with radio and media interviews and key public speaking tips.
Participants will have a chance to practice their skills and leave with confidence in communicating the STEM agenda, championing their work, and equality and diversity agenda to a range of audiences.
Lunch will be provided, plus tea and coffee on arrival.
This event is for women who are:
Working in STEM and looking to be an ambassador or role model for their companies
Students or employees in STEM looking to reach a wider public platform and communicate why STEM is worth pursuing
Students or employees interested in sharing their STEM work
Students or employees looking to get media or public speaking experience
Our workshops are very popular and we often have waiting lists of participants from all over Scotland who wish to attend. If you realise that you are unable to join us, please let us know as soon as possible. That way we can offer your place to someone else. Our funding allows us to offer this event free of charge, however we do incur significant costs for non-attendance.
