Inclusive Value is a free resource for employers and training providers in the construction sector, supporting them to develop a happier and more inclusive workplace. A company may not always know how their employees feel in the work place or recognise the barriers that women face in their organisation. This toolkit provides tailored advice to employers on how to create a more inclusive work place for everyone by asking both employers and employees their views on workplace culture. We use this information to inform employers on practical steps they can use to recruit, retain and support a diverse and ultimately more successful workforce.

Why are we doing this?

We understand that diversity and inclusion may be less of a priority for your organisation during our collective fight against the Coronavirus pandemic, with difficult decisions being made on a daily basis. However, decisions made in a crisis often calls for fast decisions and fast implementation with a lot of moving parts which is why it is more important that ever to ensure that everyone is considered and engaged in the decision making process. While there is a lot of uncertainty moving forward, changing the way we work can have a positive outcomes for attracting and retaining a diverse workforce. If the industry chooses to, it can use this period of change to create new ways of working and open the industry up to women and other underrepresented groups.

What this will cover?

This webinar will cover the business case for having a diverse workforce and the practice steps employers can take to improve workplace culture. It will also run through the benefits of the Inclusive Value Tool and offer ways for employers to engage directly with us.
