The Equate Student Network Conference & Awards 2019 will bring together women studying STEM to celebrate your passion for your subject, connect with inspiring women professionals and enhance your career development.
The conference will include interactive workshops to help you develop your skills and an employer panel session to ask those burning questions about how to promote girls into STEM and what it’s really liking working in these industries. The full programme including keynote speakers and employers attending will be available in February 2019.
This event will give students the opportunity to network with women STEM professionals and employers over lunch to find out about placement and graduate roles.
After the conference we will be showcasing the photography and stories highlighted during our #thisiswhatasteminist looks like campaign. Come along for an evening of drinks, nibbles and networking to celebrate the diversity in Scotland’s thriving and vibrant STEM sector.
The winner of our Equate Student Awards will also be announced at this conference. This award celebrates women students and institutions who have gone above and beyond to support, mentor or promote women in STEM. To find out more about these awards and how to nominate CLICK HERE.
This event is open to all women studying STEM and the built environment at colleges and universities in Scotland.
Students travelling out with Edinburgh will have their VAT receipted travel expenses reimbursed up to a max of £15 per person. Travel expenses claim forms will be issued to students on the night of the event.
Our events are very popular and we often have waiting lists of participants from all over Scotland who wish to attend. If you realise that you are unable to join us, please let us know as soon as possible. That way we can offer your place to someone else.
