At this time we are continuing to collect applications for this year’s women only Equate-ConStructED Scotland event in the hope that it will go ahead. We will make a final decision as to whether the event does go ahead as planned by end of April 2020 and we therefore encourage students to apply for a place.
Equate Scotland in partnership with ConStructEd Scotland is delighted to offer this 3-day hands-on construction experience aimed at women students in their 2nd year of a civil engineering or built environment related degree or HNC/HND level college students.
Attendance at this course provides an opportunity for students to develop hands on practical skills and knowledge that has real value in the Construction industry. The experience is designed to give you an increased understanding of how engineered solutions constantly evolve during the construction phase of a project. During the course students will work in teams to design and build a scaled down version of a wind turbine, under the guidance of a professional contractor and an engineering consultant.
Places on this 3-day course are free but spaces are limited. To reserve your place on the training course please complete our online application form where you are required to answer two questions in no more than 250 words per question.
Registrations will close on 4th May 2020.
Personal Protective Equipment
PPE will be provided but if you own your own steel capped toe boots, please bring them with you as shoe sizes cannot be guaranteed on the day.
