Equate Scotland will be hosting an evening reception on women’s leadership in male dominated environments. We will be discussing how stereotypes of leadership harm women’s progression and how we reclaim the meaning of leadership and the diversity it can include. It’s time to leave behind the tired language of women’s leadership being perceived as “bossy” or “bitchy” – it’s simply called taking charge.
We will hear from daring women who are leaders in their STEM field and who are crushing misconceptions of women’s leadership. Dr Reaeanne Miller from the Scottish Association of Marine Science will be joining us – after just returning from the first all women expedition to the Antarctic. She will telling us about her experience and how adventure and science does not need to be a man’s world!
Bring your questions and your experiences!
Wine will be served.
