Are you able to voice your real opinions with colleagues? Do you find it difficult to say no? Would you like to assert your position during negotiations more effectively?
Being more assertive can also help improve the quality of your relationships and support you to become more confident and competent.
This workshop will help you to:
• Assess how assertive you feel in different areas of your life.
• Understand what we mean by being assertive, non-assertive and aggressive; explore how these behaviours are exhibited, verbally and non-verbally and the consequences of these behaviours in the workplace.
• Learn and practise simple techniques to improve your assertiveness skills.
• Discuss and identify what constitutes good workplace culture and how unhelpful or unequal workplace practices can be challenged
The course is very interactive and learning will be through individual and group exercises, self-reflection, group discussions and coaching techniques. You will be encouraged to practise new skills in a safe and supportive environment.
This webinar will be useful for women in STEM looking to be more assertive in their workplace including recent graduates, career changers and women looking for new opportunities.
