Equate Student Network Award
The Equate Student Network Award celebrates a woman student (university or college) who has gone above and beyond to support, mentor or promote women in STEM.
This award is to highlight Women in STEM and an opportunity to recognise the amazing things women students are doing to support each other and their institutions over the last year in Scotland.
We are looking for women who have inspired others to follow their footsteps– whether it be talking to girls in schools or women in colleges, starting a campaign at their university or college to address an issue or creating a group that supports other women in STEM. We want to hear from people who haven’t been recognised previously for their achievements.
Please tell their story, that will inspire other students and organisations in STEM, as well as be an opportunity to share best practice, showcase outstanding results and recognise the amazing things that students do that make a difference.
Nominations can be made by staff and students from universities and colleges in Scotland.
- A woman currently studying STEM or the Built Environment in Scotland (including student champions)
- Worked hard to inspire and support other women and girls in or considering STEM OR shown initiative in creating and seeking out opportunities for promoting equality and diversity in their institution.
The Awards are judged by an experienced panel from across the education sector, third sector and industry.
The winners are announced at the Equate Student Network Conference and Awards every year.
