Supporting your Diverse Workplace Project
Funded by the Scottish Government and Scottish Funding Council, Equate Scotland, the Association For Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE), and The National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) are partnering to deliver this project for Manufacturing organisations.
The Scottish Government’s National Transition Training Fund (NTTF) aims to tackle the impacts that Covid-19 and Brexit have had, particularly on those who are aged 25 and over, unemployed, facing redundancy, under the MRP.
One part of the programme aims to transform the perception of the manufacturing sector and increase opportunities and employment for Women, Ethnic Minorities, and other under-represented groups with protected characteristics across Scotland.
This programme will work with 50 employers, with a particular interest in SMEs.
Free training: Supporting Your Diverse Workplace
Join us for two practical three-hour workshops that explore diversity in the workplace and provide the tools that you and your manufacturing business require to create a more inclusive workforce.
- Skills to mitigate bias
- Inclusive recruitment
- Positive action
To fully benefit from the training, we ask that you try to include a variety of people from within your business, such as your senior team, human resources, and a technical department and that you attend all three sessions if possible.
Following training, you will receive a free equality, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) consultancy to ensure your organisation’s action plans are successful.
The courses are delivered in partnership with Equate Scotland and the Association for BME Engineers (AFBE), with funding from the Scottish Governments National Transition Training Fund.
