Careerwise is now open for applications for summer 2019
Round 1 of Careerwise is now open for applications! So far, 18 organisations have signed up to Careerwise for summer 2019, between them offering 38 paid work placements, presenting a unique opportunity for women to gain valuable work experience in key science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) industries.
Organisations hosting placements include RBS, Morgan Stanley, RJ MacLeod, Raeburn Construction, Nallatech Molex, Diageo, Forestry Commission, Marine Scotland, KP Technology, AECOM, Computer Application Services, Integrated Environmental Solutions, Cummins UK, ORE Catapult, Morrison Construction, Alatas UK, Baker-Hicks and STV.
Further placements will be added on a weekly basis right up till March 2019! Keep visiting our pages to see any new placements added each week.
Placements take place between June and August 2019 and are paid at least the real living wage. Applications are welcome from women currently studying science, technology, engineering and maths related subjects at any Scottish University or College, from 1st to 4th year UG students and HNC/HND College students.
Unless otherwise stated on the placement specification, the closing date for round 1 is 14th January 2018.
Careerwise is an internship scheme aimed exclusively at women studying STEM subjects at Scottish Universities and Colleges. Now approaching its 6th year, demand for Careerwise placements is high.
As well as a paid summer placement relating your to STEM studies, students who successfully obtain a Careerwise placement are enrolled on our programme that provides pre and post placement support to help women make the transition from STEM studies to STEM employment.
